8vo.

A typographic magazine named Octavo formed in 1985 by three designers, Simon Johnston, Mark Holt and Hamish Muir.

Outcomes from workshops Jan Tschichold poster, Harry Duley website and UX workshop outcomes.

We had to follow strict requirements for the Jan Tschichold poster.

- 3 font sizes all in the multiplications of 7

-A2 Dimesions: 420 mm x 594mm

-Black and White

- use hevetica neue as our font

- I may include the 3 elements - a line ,black box or a photo of Jan

I played around with shapes and movements.

I enjoyed how the space can appear to have a sense of movement depending on how you placed thing onto the space.

The combination of black and white allows for a bold contrast

As we were restricted, this allowed for a more creative energy to flow, as when you are incased, you have to think harder to create something.

I wanted the text to move with the flow of the images. The brand promoted comfort, so i wanted to reflect that in spreads. Text wrapping the text to the movements of the subject was my interpretation of comfort.

A neutral pallet allowed for a cohesive look.

UX workshop.

I was in a group with Jacob and Diana..

In groups we created our own audience.

We then created a nish persona that we would then make an app for.

Katy was someone who wanted cheap food near her.

My group chose to create an app where you can check for the nearest and cheapest place to go and eat. How far and how cheap the user was willing to chose, these decisions.

Our app was fairly straight forward to use, at least for people who are used to technology.
