Trying to find the insight behind an advert. Allows you to see the process they did to create the advert. How the people went about finding a truth to market their product.


Flat white???????



McDonald's advertisement for their new hot drink on their menu, a flat white.

The advert uses the idea of, the modern pretentious barista to explain the hot drink with passion and a slight use of condescending tone of voice.

The Ad tried to relate to the every person, by using situations someone might find themselves in real life.

The advert wanted to relate to everyday people.

By showing a pretentious coffee place and comparing it to the simple, easy to understand Mc Donald, it conveys its emotion through this message


In class javi showed us the Nike dream crazy ad.

The whole idea that a company cares because their consumer cares, can even be a ploy to just entertain their consumers into spending more money. By creating a persona that consumers will connect to want to support, which is most cases is a facade. Majority of the big brands such as nestle or P&G production do have their unethical side. Creating environmental issues, such as its bottle water issue..




Back to the Nike advert. Brands can now join a conversation of a social one to generate buzz.

This new wave of 'woke' advertising is interesting to see. I believe it is the product of the new era of social media.


A few years back, many corporations did not want a controversy, but now there is a change.

The new wave of technology and where people's attention is has shifted.


For example 'influencers' whether that be youtubers or intsagramers or any other social media platform are sponsored to do paid partnerships.


Ads in a way want to become a funny youtube vid, to become the vial thing. If people share the ads, it manages to spread to people.
