"It is a very good exploration of possibilities, however I think you have been dragged too much into the art direction, before having a strong insight, and a strong concept. "
I decide to look more into our main ideas.
JUDO?-
WHAT IS IT?
WHAT DOES IT GIVE YOU?
In judo you use strategy and peace of mind to try and win. Which means you don't necessarily need to be in top fit condition to play the sport.
The sport uses our minds to train using repetition (Uchikomi ). Through the use of repetition, you are able to make muscle memory and know how to react to defend yourself.
You have to be able to react and execute.
Uchikomi supports this as it utilizes repetition to develop a throw as a natural body movement making it second nature.
You are also trained to feel comfortable falling and learn how to break your fall, and keep calm.
Teaching you to be calm as it lowers the panic attack brought on by being taken to the ground. Judo teaches one to seamlessly transition from a standing physical struggle to a struggle that goes to the ground.
You learn also Groundwork (Newaza )
To avoid being on the ground and get back on your feet.
Which is a mindset you also see in the military. For example the Marine Corps Manual on hand to hand combat shares this philosophy
“Marines should avoid being on the ground during a close combat situation because the battlefield may be covered with debris and there is an increased risk of injury. However, many close combat situations involve fighting on the ground. The priority in a ground fight is for Marines to get back on their feet as quickly as possible.”
Judo Also works by, judo’s nage (throwing) and katame (grappling) wazas as they safeguard the body’s limbs in contrast to a Striking techniques where bones can break upon impact Without proper padded glove protection. This also indicates how judo is not a bloody sport so it is not commercially gory to watch.
Judo uses your own opponents weight against them
The principle of ju, or “giving way” attempts to minimise physical disadvantages in height and weight.
The idea is not to use strength with strength but rather opposing 'the strong' person in a way to give the extent of the strength, the opponent has used in their push, by withdrawing the body and maintaining balance, my opponent will lose his balance. Placing them in an awkward position.
A Sport for All Ages and Abilities.
Judo is a sport for anyone who wishes to participate in it, regardless of athletic ability, age or gender. It is a self-defense curriculum which incorporates techniques that can be performed by the average person.
It is even in the Paralympics.
It has been part of the SummerParalympics program since 1988 for men and 2004 for women. (for visually impaired)
Judo is practiced as a competitive contact sport that it is inherently effective on the street and in the field of combat.

What is manga?
Manga are Japanese comic books or graphic novels with a twist, serialised in newspapers and magazines.

How do you read manga?
Traditionally, manga books are read from back to front and from the upper right corner to the lower left corner of a page. Formats include the simple four panel manga (yonkoma)

Manga images are supplemented by sound effects that include onomatopoeia and imagined sounds.
These sounds are drawn into the composition, enhancing their effect by making them part of the image rather than resting the words on top of the image or in a bubble.

Shōnen manga and shōjo manga
Different strands of manga have evolved for male and female audiences. Shōnen manga, aimed at young men, tends to focus on action and adventure whilst shōjo manga is aimed at young women, and focuses on romance and relationships. However, there is increasing crossover in plot lines, subject matter and gender of protagonists.
